NORM Beauty is looking for outgoing, thoughtful and reliable people to join our growing team of NORM Hosts across the Greater Toronto Area.

A NORM Host is more than a product demonstrator.

You are the person who brings the NORM experience to life.

Whether you're hosting a sampling activation inside one of our retail partners, welcoming hundreds of guests at a trade show, supporting a pop-up shop or educating someone discovering NORM for the first time, your role is to make people feel welcomed, comfortable and cared for.

ABOUT NORM

Natural Organic Matters (NORM Beauty) is a Canadian science-backed, wellness-driven skincare brand built around simplicity, health and fun.

We believe skincare has become unnecessarily complicated.

Our thoughtfully crafted products focus on effective formulations, ingredient transparency and making skincare easier to understand and enjoy.

But NORM is about more than products.

We're building a brand rooted in meaningful human connection and helping people feel comfortable in their own skin.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

As a NORM Host, assignments may include retail sampling days, trade shows, pop-up shops, community events, educational experiences and other NORM activations throughout the GTA.

You may:

Welcome and engage guests in a warm, approachable way
Introduce customers to NORM and our products
Conduct one-on-one product consultations
Offer and facilitate product sampling
Explain ingredients and product benefits using approved NORM education
Demonstrate how products are used
Help guests identify products that fit their preferences
Support sales and process transactions where required
Prepare and maintain attractive sampling and product displays
Assist with event setup and teardown
Maintain a clean and organized activation area
Support inventory counts and product management
Collect customer insights and provide post-activation feedback
Represent NORM professionally with our retail and event partners

Most importantly, you'll create an experience that leaves people feeling good about having met NORM — whether or not they make a purchase that day.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

You may be a great NORM Host if you are:

Naturally warm, friendly and approachable
Comfortable initiating conversations with people you don't know
A strong communicator and active listener
Confident without being aggressive
Reliable, punctual and professional
Curious and willing to learn
Comfortable learning about skincare products and ingredients
Able to explain information in a simple, relatable way
Comfortable working independently
Organized and attentive to details
Excited by wellness, skincare, beauty, hospitality or customer experience
Comfortable working in retail stores, trade shows and busy event environments

Previous experience in beauty or skincare is not required.

Experience in hospitality, retail, events, customer service, promotions, education, sales, community engagement or similar people-facing roles is an asset.

We'll teach you the products.

We're looking for the personality, professionalism and people skills that can't be taught as easily.

THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT FROM TRADITIONAL SALES:

We want Hosts who can help NORM grow and generate sales — but we don't believe great customer experiences begin with pressure.

NORM Hosts are trained to:

Welcome first.
Listen second.
Educate third.
Recommend when appropriate.

You'll never be expected to pressure someone into buying something they don't need.

Performance considers the complete experience, including guest engagement, professionalism, reliability, product knowledge, activation execution, retail partner feedback and sales performance.

COMPENSATION:

NORM Host: $30.00/hour

Lead Host: $35.00/hour when designated for eligible Lead Host assignments

Mandatory Training: $20.00/hour

Minimum Booking: 4 hours unless otherwise agreed

Approved travel expenses may also be reimbursed for certain assignments, including eligible parking, mileage or public transit when approved in advance.

Exceptional Hosts may also be considered for additional responsibilities, Lead Host opportunities, special campaigns and discretionary performance recognition.

SCHEDULE & LOCATION:

This is a flexible, assignment-based independent contractor opportunity, not a guaranteed-hours position.

Activations will take place throughout the Greater Toronto Area, including Toronto and surrounding communities.

Assignments may include:

Weekdays
Evenings
Weekends
Retail sampling activations
Trade shows
Pop-up events
Community events
Special NORM campaigns

Hosts will be offered available assignments and may accept opportunities based on their availability.

Because assignments take place at different locations, reliable transportation or the ability to travel throughout your selected areas of the GTA is important.

TRAINING:

Selected NORM Hosts will complete paid onboarding and training before their first activation.

Training may include:

The NORM Host Handbook
NORM brand philosophy and Guest Journey
Product knowledge
Ingredient education
Product demonstrations and sampling
Guest consultations
Approved product messaging
Event operations
Health and safety requirements where applicable

Hosts must use approved NORM product information and must never diagnose medical or skin conditions, prescribe treatments, make medical claims or guarantee product results.

GROW WITH NORM:

We're not simply looking to fill individual shifts.

We're building a community of exceptional Hosts who can grow alongside NORM.

Hosts who demonstrate strong guest experience, reliability, professionalism, product knowledge and leadership may be considered for:

FAQs

What is a NORM Host?

A NORM Host represents NORM at retail sampling activations, trade shows, pop-ups and other brand experiences throughout the GTA. Hosts welcome guests, provide product education and sampling, support sales, and most importantly, create a warm and memorable NORM experience.

How does scheduling work?

NORM Hosts are independent contractors and assignments are offered on a flexible, event-by-event basis. There are no guaranteed hours or minimum number of assignments. You'll be able to accept opportunities based on your availability and the GTA locations you're able to work in.

Do I need skincare, beauty or sales experience?

No. Previous skincare or beauty experience is not required. NORM provides paid training on our products, ingredients and guest experience. We're primarily looking for people who are warm, reliable, confident communicating with others and genuinely enjoy connecting with people.
